A game changer

I started experiencing shoulder pain around 2022. I had an array of great straps from LK, moodys, Mono, but they just couldn't solve my issues with my neck and shoulder. After seeing a doctor, I was told I do have some nerve compression on my left side. I recalled the duo strap and remember Damian and Dr. Kertz talk about it, so I decided to give it a shot. It has taken about a month to get used to it, but once you do, you really can't go back. I do about 300 gigs a year and most are 4 hours or more, so it has really been a god send. 4 stars since some stitching has already began to wear and the rivets don't allow you to remove the most top portion. My colleagues call it my bondage strap LOL.

Love this strap

This is one of the nicest straps I've had. The strap is well-constructed out of neoprene and leather with metal screws for adjusting the length. I think I prefer the neoprene over the all-leather strap not only for the lower price, but also for the comfort. It did take a bit of length adjustment on each shoulder before I got it just right. After two hours of using this strap to hold a heavy six-string bass, my neck and shoulders experienced none of the usual fatigue after a long playing session. The second strap (the one that goes over the right shoulder for right-handed players) is easily remove for the strap to function as a traditional bass strap. The only issue I could see was that the strap might need to be a bit longer for some players. Gruv Gear does mention on their website an extension to the strap that adds and additional 6.5 inches.

DuoStrap Neo

I've been using the DuoStrap Neo for at least a couple of years now I think....it probably took me a week to adjust to it. I also have the extension coz I knew it would be too short for me to play comfortably...

But I must say that ever since my brother bought it for me ( it's not that accessible where I'm from) I really don't want to play without it. It has definitely made a big difference for my back and shoulders.. I highly recommend this product. Specially for those who have back problems or those who feel their age... like me.... I only have this one strap and it's definitely seen better days but it still works great! Can't play without it!

thank you so much for this great product... I just wish they already came with a longer strap....

DuoStrap Neo

I just got mine and was had my mind prepared for a few hours of struggle and frustration trying to dial in a comfortable position for the strap. I got the Neo version with the tension strap and extra long strap extension. I'm 6'3" and 250 lbs, so I knew in advance the stock length wasn't going to do it for me. So, what I expected to take hours to adjust really only took about 20 minutes. I was able to adjust it to a comfortable position by both wrapping it around the horn and with the tension strap. I prefer using it with the tension strap mostly for aesthetics, but either way works fine. If you have back and shoulder issues like me, this is a no brainer. I've had gigs where my shoulder was absolutely killing me after only the first set, so this strap is a life saver. And now maybe I won't have to worry so much about asking "what does it weigh" when considering a new bass!
