Brian Sunga is the lead guitarist for the Progressive Metal band, Il Nomine Patris (Philippines). He started playing when he was 18 years old getting inspiration from the Nu Metal wave of the 90s. He was introduced to Metallica and soon got into lead-playing in a heavy metal setting. Getting introduced to Progressive Music, he is highly influenced by John Petrucci and Michael Romeo. Musically maturing, he formed Il Nomine Patris with his high school bandmate, creating and performing band compositions in the Philippines' Metro area as well as both the North and Southern regions gaining a following in the local scene. As he progressed, he expanded from 6-string guitars to 7-strings and now currently utilizing the 8-string guitar on their newer songs. The band's debut album is in production and will be released late 2012.
"FretWraps have changed the way I played and sound on stage. Apart from the fact that they made my guitars look more attractive, I find my sound and tone to be generally clearer and tighter at higher gains and more importantly, I like how my tone feels with the FretWraps on. I can now focus on having more fun onstage instead of being too careful of unwanted strings ringing and white noises being heard. What you are not hearing is as important as what you are hearing. Thanks for the innovative product - these wraps are here to stay."
