GRUV GEAR Launches The Innovative V-CART SOLO™, The Ultimate Personal Gear Transport Cart for Musicians
January 14, 2010 (Anaheim, CA) – It’s an exciting day for the music industry as the world converges for 4 days to Anaheim, California for the 2010 Winter NAMM Show. It’s a particularly thrilling Thursday for GRUV GEAR, a local Orange County company, as they announce the arrival of the new V-CART SOLO™, the most versatile and easy-to-use personal gear transport cart for musicians and industry professionals.
The new V-CART SOLO™ is GRUV GEAR’s patent-pending music gear transport cart, designed and engineered from the ground up, with focus on thoughtful ergonomics, strength, stability and ease of use. Not only does it allow you to move heavy amps and cabinets with nearly effortless maneuverability, but it also helps save your back and fingers from injury that can really cripple your performance. Furthermore, it helps extend the life of your equipment by preventing unnecessary wear-and-tear from excessive bumps and accidental drops between your car and the stage. With its unique 4 modes of configuration, including a 4-wheel platform mode, a 2-wheel dolly mode, a 4-wheel tilted “V” mode, and a compact folded mode, GRUV GEAR confidently touts it as the most versatile and easy-to-use personal gear transport cart ever designed for musicians.
“One of our main goals as a company is to innovate with any product we decide to pursue,” says Jay Baldemor, Founder and CEO of GRUV GEAR. “We aim to bring products and accessories to the market that address certain "gaps" and not just be a “me too” type of company. With our “Make Life Gruv” mantra,” Jay adds, “the factor of maintaining healthy backs, hands and fingers – Really our TOOLS OF THE TRADE as musicians – is a big focus for our products right now. We all love it when it’s time to get on stage, but there really hasn’t been much progress in making things easier in between gigs. On utility carts, specifically, the industry hasn’t seen any developments for nearly a decade. People go to a Guitar Center, for example, and really have no choice but to settle for clunky carts available today. Some resort to scouring office supply stores and warehouse retailers, and end up hauling several hundred, even thousands of dollars of precious cargo on rickety carts made for moving paper boxes around the office. We saw this huge gap and now the V-CART SOLO™ is here to fill that gap.”
Innovating not only in functionality and ease-of-use, the V-CART SOLO™ also boasts a stunning industrial design. The team at GRUV GEAR spent close a year-and-a-half doing ergonomic studies, raw materials research, usability, and creating a visual design that flowed seamlessly with its function. “Jay really pushed us to think way beyond what you might expect a team to consider when developing a utility cart,” says Peter Espartero, one of the main product designers. “There's inspiration from high-end automobile design, which some of you might actually recognize!”
GRUV GEAR plans to release several new products from various areas of focus this year alone. “Look for something new from us every few months!” Jay exclaims. “We are excited to finally launch the V-CART SOLO™, but we’re equally excited to show all that we have brewing over here… It will be a great year!”
